Travel to the naval hamlet of Simon's Town, which is located on the False Bay coast of the Cape Peninsula to embark on a sea kayaking experience from the Waterfront.
Paddle past the civilian and Naval Harbour and out to Boulders Beach. After visiting the penguins you stop (time & tide permitting) on a lovely semi-private beach for refreshments, swimming and snorkeling (equipment provided). The double kayaks are very stable and perfect for those with no paddling experience.
During the whale season from July to December, the Southern Right Whale frequents Cape Town's shores which allows you the possibility of seeing them in their natural habitat.
Stop for lunch at a seaside restaurant and then travel to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Cape Point is home to an array of fynbos, over 250 species of birds, buck, baboons and Cape mountain zebra. There are numerous picnic spots, paths and tidal pools on almost isolated beaches.
The tour continues with a drive along the coas via Noordhoek, Chapman’s Peak Drive, Hout Bay and the Atlantic Seaboard back to your hotel.

Visit places such as a former migrant workers’ hostel for men - continue to Meadowlands - famous for the forced removals from Sophiatown in the 1950’s. Cycle through historical landmarks of the 1976 student uprisings and visit the memorial site of Hector Pieterson. You will also cycle down Vilakazi Street where Nelson Mandela used to live and where Bishop Desmond Tutu has his home. Lunch is included at the local backpackers – a delicious traditional African stew, cooked over a fire and served with a chunk of white bread – a Sowetan ‘bunny chow’.

As you bump along the park roads, the sun warm upon your face and air dry in the back of your throat, your senses are on high alert. This is the real Africa, cut away from the hectic pace of life, home to Africa’s Big 5. The Kruger is alive, from the nervously twitching herd of impala after a night of predator action, to the wild dog cavorting like domestic pets alongside the road. Marvel as a herd of elephant simply appear from out the bush, then silently vanish back into the landscape.
With over 2 million hectares of pristine wilderness, the Kruger’s biodiversity sustains numerous species of game and birds.
