Lake Atitlán, Guatemala

A volcanic lake sanctuary in the Guatemalan highlands

Guatemala is a vibrant Central American country rich in Indigenous heritage, sacred tradition, and dramatic volcanic landscapes — the heart of the ancient Mayan world.

In the western highlands, Lake Atitlán — formed within a volcanic crater and framed by soaring peaks — offers a setting that feels both grounding and otherworldly.

Our retreat unfolds near the peaceful village of Santa Cruz La Laguna, a quiet, boat-access community known for its sweeping views and serene pace.

PLUS – If you’re inspired to extend your trip in Guatemala, consider exploring the colonial streets of Antigua, the vibrant markets of Chichicastenango, the ancient Mayan ruins of Tikal, or climbing up to see the active Volcán de Fuego— each offering a deeper glimpse into this rich and naturally beautiful country.

Yoga & Mindful Movement

Daily practices rotate among the breathtaking Shalas, each overlooking the volcanoes and lake, and fully equipped with high-quality mats and props to support every aspect of our practice.

Enjoy two or more sessions per day: A mix of  energizing Vinyasa Flows, strength-based Pilates, and other mindful movement workshops, as well as grounding, slower paced Hatha, Yin, and Restorative practices. There will also be guided meditation and Yoga Nidra journeys.

Every session is thoughtfully woven into the retreat’s overarching theme and enhanced with optional hands-on adjustments, aromatherapy, reflective journal prompts, inspiring quotes/readings, and more — all designed to deepen your practice and invite inspiration, introspection, and inner clarity.

This retreat is open to all levels—whether you’re just beginning your journey or looking to expand and deepen your practice.

Food

Serving three meals a day, all the food is crafted to nourish your body and delight your senses, blending local Guatemalan flavours with vegetarian cuisine.

Breakfast features a daily special main, alongside granola, yogurt, and fruit. Lunch offers a hearty vegetarian main, organic greens, homemade bread, and a local fruit platter.
